Ducati 600 SuperSport 1997 (P) New MOT (No Advisories) In the last hundred miles this bike has had a lot of money spent on it, including: Full Service including - Air Filter, Oil Filter, Morris Super Sport Oil, NGK Plugs, both Cambelts replaced and belt tensioners checked, Desmo valve clearances checked (no adjustment needed), tyre pressures, lubricants, grease, new stainless bolts... etc. Genuine Ducati parts used wherever possible, I have photo's and receipts to prove this. New DID Gold chain and sprockets. New Dunlop front tyre, rear is also Dunlop and in great condition. New Battery. New Regulator/Rectifier. I also checked the front and rear Brembo brake calipers and they are good, the pads are not even half worn on both front and rear. The discs are also both good with no scoring/grooves and they don't even have a lip on the edge. I have a receipt to show that this bike was fully serviced last year at Riders in Bristol and has only done a few hundred miles since. I fully service any bike I have for sale as I prefer to do this for my own peace of mind and in order to give it an as accurate description as possible. It has fitted a 2-1 'Pipe Works' silencer which sounds amazing, but please note it is quite loud. Overall the bike is lovely and on a rare sunny day like today it does make it hard to let a bike like this go. It suffers from the usual Ducati/Cagiva corrosion problems on the engine casings, there are a few rust spots on the frame, a couple of chips on the wheel rims etc but it is a good solid bike which is very presentable - especially as its an Italian machine which is now coming up to being 18 years old. It has had some new paint in it's life, but I think this is more to do with a previous owner trying to keep it looking as fresh as possible due to the sun bleaching the paintwork rather than anything nasty. The engine fires up willingly, no nasty smoke or anything, the bike pulls through the rev range really well in every gear and stops as it should do. Everything works well on the bike and I have two keys which fit all the locks. I have to say I am more used to rejuvenating early Japanese bikes so to finally get my hands on a Duke was quite an experience, but it was an easy bike to do and I guess that is thanks to Ducati/Cagiva's race heritage, everything was easy to get to and it is a relatively easy bike to work on. The garage I used to service the bike in is a Ducati specialist and they couldn't fault the bike, I even asked them about how noisy the engine was and the owner said 'it's a Ducati, if it aint' rattling, it aint' runnin''! So please be aware, it's not a silent running engine as you would typically expect from a Japanese equivalent, it's quite 'harsh' sounding and you can certainly hear everything working inside the motor. But that's a Duke for you! All in all it is a great bike, it sounds amazing and turns heads wherever it goes. It's got a fresh MOT on it as of last Friday, I rode it to and from the MOT station and loved every minute of it. I am open to offers, I don't bite! I can also deliver the bike to your door. Part exchanges welcome. Any questions please feel free to ask. I don't put my phone number on my ads due to the amount of scammers out there, so please email me with your details and I will ring you back, I receive emails quite quickly. If you are reading this advert then the bike is still for sale, I will remove the advert when the bike sells.
